Thank you for the opportunity to judge so many of our lovely breed at Crufts. I appreciated the quantity and quality, particularly in Bitches. My concerns would be lack of fluting, narrow muzzles and lack of stifles. Thank you all so much.

1st SH CH CALVDALE SOFTLY SOFTLY J W (MISS A CALVERT)
What is left to say about this outstanding 10 year old Champion? Retired on the day, pity there was not a Best Veteran award. His image of outline, neck and shoulders and size, should be used as a blueprint for future reference. Yes, perhaps his movement was a tad slower, but hey wouldn’t you at 10 going on seventy.
2nd SHELCASRIE FLASH SHCM (MRS E A YOUNG)
Good headed dog, with good reach of neck, driving out on the move, heavier type.
3rd MEX CH HIGHT FLY DELLA GIULIANA ( IMP ITA ) [ATC AL00506ITA] (MS S WATSON)
Another 10 year old in fine fettle, slightly finer type than others but a lovely head, with a gentle expression.
Res SH CH REUBENS SILENT REFLECTION JW (MRS M C DOWNWARD)

2nd BERESFORD BUSTED (MRS T E TOPLISS)
Another balanced youngster, lovely dark liver head, but still giving a gentle expression. All of the above attributes; just preferred more positive movement of 1st
3rd TRIMERE TRAPPER AT DEXBENELLA (MR S & MRS W WALKER)
Lovely headed bl/wh, a slightly longer body than the other, but again lovely clean neck and shoulders. Moved well.

1st PLAIGLEN HUSTLE (MS F GLENDINNING)
Lovely bl/wh, Gorgeous head, masculine, but still held that gentle Springer expression with a dark eye. Flowing neck into good shoulders and lovely deep rib, strong stifle and short hock. All put to good use around the ring.
2nd SEASPRING SHIPWRECKED JW ( MS T & MRS C M DUNSDON & WOODBRIDGE)
What a super head and expression – melting. A lot of the above applies, but lack of drive on the move let him down.
3rd TRYHARD FOOLS GOLD (MRS S & MR M LONG & LEEMING)
A good solid type of Springer, with good head and a dark eye, everything that it should be. Unfortunately his movement let him down today, I have seen him go a lot better.

3rd LACEBY JACK IN THE BOX (MR P, MRS S M & MISS C A KIRK)
Bl/Wh a lovely head and expression, scored on most points, but just let down on lack of strength in quarters.

1st SH CH MOMPESSON CAVENDISH (MR R W & MRS F JACKSON)
A very worthy champion of our breed. A neat tidy dog, head not overdone, dark eye, clean neck and shoulders. Topline great, even on the move, drove out from strong quarters and short hock.
2nd SU CH NIGHT WISH DARREM CANIS (MR & MRS D MITCHELL)
Oh what a glorious BL/WH, everything that reminds me of our old classic ones, Cleavehill etc., That really melting expression, but still masculine. Did nothing wrong, I just had to grit my teeth to stop giving him top honours, as I felt a bit more maturity was needed.
3rd SH CH DEXBENELLA IT'S ABOUT TIME JW SHCM (MR S & MRS W WALKER)
Lovely tri dog, excelled in head – fluting, expression and eye. Good size, wonderful presentation.
Res SH CH TRIMERE TALKING POINT OF ALLENIE JW (MR A C & MR R P ALLEN & BOTT)

3rd PL/SK/CMKU VH ALFALEX JUSTIN ENJOY THE WORLD JUN CH [ATC AP01497EST] (MISS P GOLINOVSKA)
A rangy L/W a wide flash which distracts from a good head, strong in front and chest, but not so strong in quarters.
