I would like to thank the committee for the kind invitation to judge at this super show, and to my two very efficient stewards who kept me on track. But most of all to the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to judge their dogs, it was truly an honour.

1ST MELVERLY BUONA NOTTE (MR R J SMITH) At just shy of 9 months old this dog portrays a very mature outline, so beautifully balanced when stood. He has ring presence and bearing beyond his age. Head still needing to finish as you would expect, but it is all in proportion. He has such pleasing depth and spring to the ribcage. Nicely boned but not overdone, just like his angulation. He has a super steady gait, still a little loose, but all will come together in time. A lovely puppy and I shall watch him develop with interest - BPIB
2ND CASSAPPLE KENTUCKY DREAM AT MELTAROSE (MRS E ROWLINSON) Another quality LWT puppy, of a different stamp to the winner being a little more up on the leg at the moment. Unfortunately his handler was not helping him today, to show off to his best advantage. Pleasing head which was well proportioned with a touch of lovely elegance and the eye starting to darken. Thought he has super depth and spring to the ribs, well coupled and a firm level topline. Just needing time to mature. Moved true just a little unsettled

1ST KINGSHEATH WILLIAM REGAL (MRS K W WHITTOCK) This young LWT dog was just super, who I am sure has the makings of a promising future. He is top end for size, but he was so beautifully balanced in outline, and well made throughout. With so much breed type and oozing with class. His head is masculine and full of quality, good length of neck which flowed so well into his firmly held topline and tailset. Admirable substance and bone, with lovely front and rear angulation. Put down is super coat and condition. He has a lovely effortless gait and covers the ground well. Very similar in stamp to the CC winner, and fought off tough competition to win the RCC
2ND JOROBADEN BALLABRIGAS (MRS A C HAPPS) A more refined and elegant dog, who has a lovely compact outline when stood. He has a pleasing head and soft gentle expression with nicely darkening eyes. For his age, he has good depth and substance, falls away a little at the croup. The rear angulation shows well bent stifles and being short hock to heal. Moved with good width behind
3RD MEONSTOKE HAWTHORN (MRS K C TAUBMAN)

1ST BERESFORD SPECIAL DELIVERY (MRS T E TOPLISS) An elegant dog, who presented a pleasing and neat package, with nothing exaggerated. His head is refined, and showing to be very proportionate and he has lovely dark eyes to give a beautiful and kind expression. Super strong and lengthy neck, showing the slight arch, which flowed very well into a firm topline and well set on tail. A good spring to the ribs, would perhaps like a little more depth. He has a lovely free flowing movement
2ND EASTRIDING CAVALLI AT FREEWAY (MR & MRS J M LILLIE) A slightly larger framed dog than winner, who showed he has good balance when stood. Head was a little heavier in back skull. He has lovely substance and well developed all through, and good bone. Not always at one with his handler on the move, but showed lovely drive from behind, but slightly high stepping in front

1ST PETRANELLA PROPER GOSSIP JW (MS C & MR A SAVELL & ALLEN) This dog certainly has a presence about him, came in the ring and owned it! Loved his compact outline, he is just so solid and muscular, thought he was put down in super coat and condition. His head is a little stronger, but still has a soft gentle springer expression. He has strength through the body, with depth to the brisket and a good forechest. Short coupled and held a firm topline. Loved his round bum! Moving away showed to have parallel and strong movement and in profile flowed, if not always in the same direction as the handler. One I gave consideration to in the challenge.
2ND WATERSWARREN WILLY WONKA (MR P D & MRS V L WARRENER) Another young dog who is certainly coming along nicely, but I felt the best is yet to come once he has finished maturing. Loved his head, so balanced with the desired chiselling and fluting and dark eye. His shape when stood present a clean and balanced outline which I found appealing, just needing to finish to give a little more depth and spring to the ribs. Thought him to be nicely angulated, but would like a little more width of thigh. Shown in super coat and immaculately presented. He moved in harmony with his handler and a pleasure to watch

1ST FOREST FRUIT FROM TAMAAM TO BERESFORD (IMP POL) (MRS T E TOPLISS) This young dog never stopped showing, a true happy and outgoing nature. Loved his head, thought it to be very balanced with good width and depth. His angulation fore and aft is very balanced, but for my personal taste a little too much. He has good depth of brisket and a grand forechest. On the move he is lovely to watch, very free flowing, showing enthusiasm and pizzazz.
2ND PLAIGLEN HUSTLE (MS F GLENDINNING) Thought that this dog was going to be my winner in this class. A smart and quality dog, who is a little more moderate all through. When stacked he shows a well put together profile. His head is very appealing with a super dark eye and lovely chiselling, but would like it to be a little more masculine. Having a lovely flow from nose to tail. He has a well developed body, well off for bone and loved his super tight feet. A good action on the move just not quite as positive behind as 1

1ST SH CH DEXBENELLA IT'S ABOUT TIME JW SHCM (MR S & MRS W WALKER) What a stunning dog this is, he has super ring presence and commanded my attention. For me he shows all the virtues of a top notch quality dog. Thought him to be very smart and stylish and full of breed type. Top end, but so totally balanced with lovely symmetry, nothing is overdone. Such a handsome chiselled head, lovely length, depth and clean cut. He has super bone, good depth and spring to the ribcage, and well bodied but also with the athletic poise which give that little bit of raciness. Shown is super coat and condition. Moving he was a joy to watch, having precise and powerful strides. Delighted to award him the CC & BOB
2ND PEASBLOSSOM JESTER (MR & MRS D MITCHELL) Wow, what a glamorous and classy dog this young LWT is. Put down in super condition and presentation that made me green with envy! A very high class dog out of the top draw. Liked his refined and well chiselled head, clean and flowing neck. Maturing nicely in body, with decent depth and good forechest. Well boned legs, to be picky, for me I would like a little less length to the hind quarters. But this dog can certainly move, showing power reach and drive. One that was in the mix for the higher awards

1ST TRIMERE TA DAH (MRS A CORBETT) What a poppet this bitch is, thought she was just lovely. She has all the raw ingredients and showed a happy disposition. She is quite eye catching. Liked her pretty head, which is well balanced, with pleasing depth and length to muzzle. Good length to the neck, she is nicely angulated in front and well matched in the rear. She certainly has enough depth for this stage in her development. Thought she was very collected on the move, keeping a firm topline, and a good hind action, a little loose in front at the moment, but this will tighten with time -BPB
2ND EASTFALLA ERE I AM (MS D EASTWOOD) B&W of a different stamp to winner, She presented a compact outline and is short coupled. Wow what super depth and ribbing for one so young. However this did tend to make her look less refined at the moment, but this will change as she matures as she is only a baby. She is nicely boned and moderately angulated. Not as settled as winner on the move, but certainly enjoying herself, which is pleasing to see in a puppy

1ST BARECHO ODD MOLLY AT PEASBLOSSOM (IMP SWE) (MR & MRS D MITCHELL) Two very different puppies, but both had qualities I admired. Winner was a very dark liver bitch who has such elegance and refinement. She is very feminine all through. She has gracefully shaped head, super eye shape and colour, with the desired proportions and depth. Good reach of neck, with good forechest, body and spring to the ribs developing nicely, with a well bent stifle and being short hock to heel. Not really at one with her handler today, and a little close behind, but her side gait is lovely
2ND ARRAMOW APHRODITE ( MRS B & MR S WEBSTER) This puppy shows a lot of promise, she is a more compact than the winner but up on the leg at the moment so not quite the balance. Pleasing head, but not the refinement as yet this I am sure will come in time. Really liked the depth to the brisket, and spring to the rib also she is well coupled. Giving her handler a bit of a hard time, but showing promise in her movement

1ST PEASBLOSSOM MOONSTRUCK (MR & MRS D MITCHELL) Fell for this lovely B&W youngster, very mature and full of quality. She displays a lovely neat and tidy outline. Not a big bitch, so she packs a lot into her well made frame, being compact, and very well balanced, but there is no mistaking femininity. She has a very appealing head, showing good moulding and a lovely dark eye. Clean through the neck into well placed shoulders. Particularly liked her well developed ribcage and being short coupled. Nice to see a good width of thigh and being short hock to heel. Free flowing and positive mover. Pleased to award her the RCC
2ND SPUFFING RIOJA (MRS J WEYMAN) Another young bitch I liked, slightly more scope to her profile than winner. A very pleasing outline when stacked and quality in abundance. She still has some maturing to do, but everything is in the right place for her to finish well. Delightful head, with good work to it and a nicely darkening eye. Well bodied, with good depth and a firm and level topline, which she held both stood and on the move. Not overdone in angulation. Not moving quite as positive as winner today.

1ST TRIMERE TERESA GREEN (MRS A CORBETT) An eye catching LWT bitch. Really nice to go over and has a super ring presence. A lovely quality bitch with much to like. Her head has good balance for back skull to foreface and showing lovely chiselling, plenty of depth to the flews. Lovely strong and lengthy neck, thought she has super bone and a well proportioned body which had enough depth. Handler did tend to stack her with a sloping topline, but became firm and level on the move, where she had a lovely scopy gait with good reach, drive and outgoing temperament

1ST MOMPESSON LEGACY (MR R W & MRS F JACKSON) Not a bitch I recall seeing previously, but what I saw I really liked, with a little more time she will be the finished article. Thought she had a pleasing outline when stood portraying good overall balance, unexaggerated and compact. She has good bone with strength and depth all through. Particularly liked her width of thigh and super muscle tone. Very fluid on the move, and at one with her handler. Nice to see a dog moving well on a loose lead. It was a close call, as I was very taken with her, but nit picking today I preferred the expression of the winners in the challenge.
2ND ROQFOLLY MISS MONEYPENNY JW (MS D EASTWOOD) A bitch of a nice size with elegance and refinement, she is slightly longer cast than winner, but I thought she was lovely. Such a feminine head, with plenty of work there. Strength to the neck leading onto a firmly held topline. I found she has good depth and spring to the ribs. Liked her gait in profile which showed a good stride but not as tidy in front today

What a lovely class to judge, with some really nice bitches, much to commend about them all whom I am sure will have their day
1ST PETRANELLA GOSSIP GIRL JW (MS C P SAVELL) A super bitch, just reaching her best, shown in full bloom and first class coat and condition. So totally feminine from nose to tail thought she was lovely from any angle. She has a lovely elegance about her, with a pleasing outline. She is a tad longer cast, but still so very balanced with super depth and spring to the ribs. Pleasing bone and tight feet. I do like a good width to the hind quarters and roundness to the backend, and she had it. So unlucky, she did not seem as settled in the challenge as she does have lovely width when she moves away from you and great style in profile
2ND DEXBENELLA INQUISITRESS JW (MR S & MRS W WALKER) Another lovely and classy bitch, wish I had two first places! She oozes class and style, thought she was fab. Loved the head on this bitch, thought she had a lovely melting expression, with super flowing lines to the back skull and foreface. She is compact, with good depth through the body. Well boned limbs and enough furnishings to give a lovely overall picture. She moves out purposefully but not quite as positive behind today as winner

1ST SH CH MELVERLY SUBLIMITY (MR R J SMITH) When visualising a mental image from the breed standard, this bitch is the outline I arrive at! The more I look at her the more I admire her. She has such beautiful balance, symmetry and flows from nose to tail. Her expression is so kind and gentle. Loved her bone and substance throughout, yet there is not a hint of coarseness. The angulation she has is superb to give beautiful lines, spot on for me. On the move she is true, maybe the heat of the day had an effect, as she did not show herself off to advantage. But in the challenge her stunning outline, super breed type and excellent quality won her the CC, her 39th I understand
2ND MOMPESSOM PAPER 'N' LACE (MR R W & MRS F JACKSON) A very honest and workman like bitch, nothing overdone or flashy. Not one to immediately catches the eye, but she is nice to go over. With a well proportioned head piece, strong and muscular neck, very well developed forechest and depth to the brisket. Pleasing width of quarters which she used well on the move. Not in her best bib and tucker today
