ESSC OF SCOTLAND 17

I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Officers, committee and my steward for their warm welcome and excellent hospitality. All the dogs were well presented and a pleasure to go over. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.

VETERAN DOG OR BITCH [4, 3]
1. Mr RS. & Mrs MI. Nicolson. CH LOCHINDORB CHIEF O'THE CLAN SHCM. Stood alone but a very nice 8 year old, pleasing head & expression with correct earset, good mouth, straight front, tight feet, well laid shoulders, balanced and moved true front and rear.

PUPPY DOG [2,1]
1. Mr & Mrs M O. Calvert. CALVDALE NIGHT ON THE TILES. Eyecatching 10month old dog presenting a very balanced outline, well proportioned head with tight eye giving soft expression, straight front and nice tight feet, well laid shoulder with correct upper arm, well ribbed for age, level topline and correct tailset, moved so well with good front extension. BPIS.

POST GRADUATE DOG [2]
1. Mrs E. Rose. WESTAWAY DREAM ANGUS OF ROSANNOCH [imp Nor] Won on his movement which was true front and rear with correct front extension and good drive from the rear. Very well constructed overall and balanced but for me in the challenge was just a bit too strong on head which detracted from the typical expression I like to see.
2. McGovern. BAXBALACH RUMOUR HAS IT Balanced head and expression so typical of the breed with good bone, straight front, adequate depth of chest and good body proportions but today was not so strong on rear movement and had a tendency to drop topline on the move

LIMIT DOG [3,2]
1. Ms C. Brough & Mr P. Walker. RISELAWROAD NO DEAL Typical well chiselled head of good proportions and alert kindly expression, masculine but nothing overdone, so balanced overall from well laid shoulders through deep chest and well sprung rib and strong loin to well muscled quarters which he used to advantage on the move where he held topline as he drove around the ring covering the ground with ease. BD.

OPEN DOG [2]
1. Mr M. & Mrs N. Calvert. CALVDALE NIGHT COURT JW SHCM Really pleasing & proportionate masculine head, nothing overdone with well set eye and kind expression, strong muscular neck into well constructed and laid back shoulder with corresponding rear angles, deep chest and well sprung rib, short coupled, strong level topline , moved well in this class but did not give his all in the challenge where he was very close up. RBD.
2. Mrs MN Hay. TRALAY BLACKJACK Another beautifully headed boy who has all the essentials but was moving a tad close on front today.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH [1]
1. Mrs N. Calvert. BERESFORD NIGHT SPELL Very promising young bitch, very balanced outline and well proportioned feminine head with lovely expression, good bone and firm feet all in proportion to body, excellent angles both front and rear, level topline and moved well for her young handler BMP.

PUPPY BITCH [3,2]
1. BERESFORD NIGHT SPELL

OPEN BITCH [4,1
1. Mrs N. Dobbin. SH CH DONARDEN MADAME BUTTERFLY Quality bitch who took my eye as she came in the ring, a joy to go over from her beautifully feminine head, so balanced & giving alert yet so soft expression, through super neck into well constructed shoulder and upper arm, deep chest with well sprung rib, compact with strong developed quarters from which she moved with drive, she covered the ground with free front movement along with real power and style, so well presented and animated BB & delighted to award her BIS.
