English Springer Spaniel Club of Wales 2007 Judge: Mrs. Jenny Miller (Feorlig)

Minor Puppy Bitch (7, 3 a)

1. Williams' Cobhay Precious Polyantha
A feminine baby of just over 6 months old and very well developed. Lovely head at present, just hope it does not get too strong. Sweet expression from darkish eyes. Super body tone and depth. Ribs well back. Nice front and rear angles. Well presented in dark l/w jacket with feathering coming. Straight well boned legs, feet a fraction big but tight. Moved with drive, a little close behind, but sound
2. Jenkinsons' Eastriding Envy Me
Another attractive 6 months old in a super conditioned b/w jacket. Sweet head well chiselled with dark kind eyes. Well bodied with good rib development for age. Lacking a little in upper arm but nice bend of stifle. Would have liked more bone on legs at this age, feet neat. Positive mover once settled
3. Turners' Roqfolly Arabella
4. Shovels' Tiverstone Black Vallis

Puppy Bitch (6, 1 a)
1. Smiths' Melverly Sublimity
Striking puppy who presents a lovely outline of correct overall balance. Very feminine, well chiselled head, nice eye and colour, fraction too much flew. Nice neck to shoulder, topline to tail. Well bodied, deep with good spring of rib. Good depth of chest and nice angulation to front and turn of stifle. Super presentation and condition to a lovely coat with nice feathering. Well boned legs and feet. Inclined a little to body roll, but has a good side stride and is sound. Tail was down at start but once she got her confidence she carried her tail welt. Super pup with bright future. Well handled. BPB and BPIS
2. Geddes' Gleadsbury Whatadaydream at Debanza
Very flashy bitch with lovely conditioned coat and some feathering coming. Sweet head, eyes a little round and light but has a nice expression. Lovely neck to shoulder and good topline to tail. Well bodied with ribs well back. Good depth of chest and enough angulation both ends. Good bone and feet, stylish mover and sound.
3. Youngs' Shelcasrie Silver Rainbow
4. Savells' Petranella Perfickly Dealt
5. Shovels' Tiverstone Winter Gold

Junior Bitch (7, 1 a)
1. Rose' Rosannoch Berkano
Very feminine and lovely balance to this stylish young bitch. At present has a beautiful head and expression, but I do not want it to get any heavier. Lovely chiselling. Super neck and shoulders and firm level topline to tail. So well bodied and ribbed back with nice couplings. Correct front depth and angulation. Well muscled quarters and turn of stifle. Neat feet from well boned legs. Super overall presentation and condition of her solid l/w jacket. Positive sound action with excellent driving stride. Shortlisted into final four but just looked a little immature against the older bitches. Should have no trouble making up.
2. Glendinnings' Roqfolly Wannabe at Plaiglen
This bitch has improved immensely over the last few months and has matured nicely and her movement has tightened considerably. Feminine well chiselled head, dark eye. Enough neck, clean throat and lay of shoulders. Good topline to tail. Well bodied with depth. Well presented b/w coat with feathering. Good front and rear angles. Nice legs and feet. Once she settled was sound

Novice Bitch (6)
1. Topliss' Trimere Talk Of The North
Nice mature outline to this bitch which won her the class. A feminine and balanced head with a slightly strange indent in the stop between the eyes. Little short in neck and steep in upper arm and lacking a little in depth. Has a lovely sprung rib and body with good couplings. Nice bend of stifle. Short well boned hocks, legs and feet. Presented in nice coat and condition just lacking a little feather. Was the best class mover with a sound positive stride

3. Geddes' Gleadsbury Whatadaydream at Debanza
4. Savells' Petranella Perfickly Dealt
5. Moores' Laceby Devil's Dilemma at Cresmore

Graduate Bitch (11, 1 a)
1. Palmers' Roandew Farr Fromit JW
This is a beautifully balanced bitch with a super outline, still a little immature against the older bitches but with all her many qualities I do not think she can be 'Far Frommit' with her title. Sweet head and a kind eye. Good neck, correct body, ribs and depth. Straight front. Nice angles front and rear. Well boned legs and feet. Well presented and handled. Stylish mover and very sound.
2. Mitchell & Beatons' Cepen Celtic Charm for Peasblossom
I have not ever liked this bitch before but she seems to have matured and developed and on the day she pulled out all the stops and really showed off with a happy tail action. Nice head, slightly finer than my winner but with lovely chiselling, kind expression. Correct angles, nice neck and shoulders. Deep chest and body. Straight well boned legs and neat feet. Very well presented coat, well conditioned with feathering. Well handled and stylish mover with excellent side stride and very sound
3. McMahons' Anacapa English Miss at Chenetre
4. Topliss' Beresford Blaise
5. Marris-Brays' Roqfolly Tantaliser

Post Graduate Bitch (14, 5 a)
1. Smiths' Taimere's The Songthrush at Melverly
This bitch has a very feminine correctly balanced outline with her nicely marked l/w jacket. Lovely feathering. Very eye catching on the stance and continues as you go over her. Lovely head, sweet expression, nice eye colour and good chiselling. Well muscled neck into clean shoulders, topline and tailset. Lovely forechest angulation, depth from chest through body. Well sprung ribs, well back. Nice turn of stifle, correct bone and feet. Well presented in lovely condition. Moved very soundly with nice side stride and sound. Slight body roll but did not spoil outline or movement. Res CC.
2. Moores' Cresmore Salamanca
Not a bitch I have seen a lot of before but on the day she stood out for quality and type and although a different type from my winner has many lovely features. Super well chiselled head, kind expressive eyes, well placed ears. Good neck and shoulder and a strong well developed body with good spring of rib. Very well coated and conditioned. Correct legs and feet. Handler is inclined to stand her a little straight at rear but has a good turn of stifle when handled. Realty sound positive mover with driving action.
3. Corbetts' Trimere Tigra
4. Shovels' Tiverstone Dreammaker
5. Robinsons' Baldragon Boozy Rouge

Limit Bitch (13)
1. Nicholson & Scotts' Elimvek Early Landing at Lossiedoon
Eiimvek Early Landing at Lossiedoon. This is what happens when you judge on the day. I would never have said this bitch would have been my top bitch, as a youngster I did not like her and thought her unbalanced and not that feminine. How wrong can one be, after a few months of not seeing an animal grow and develop, she now reminds me of some of the older type Springer's and our earlier Feorligs. On the day she presented a lovely picture of good height to length. Was totally feminine with a lovely balanced and moulded head, kind dark eye and lovely chiselling. Correct neck to shoulder and firm topline to tail which she used. Good depth of chest and enough angulation in forequarters. Well muscled and bodied with true spring in rib. Super condition and well presented dark l/w coat with lovely feathering. Lovely strength to hindquarters. Well boned legs and feet. She flowed around the ring really throwing forward and driving from behind, a fraction close but sound both ends. In the challenge just lost the edge to a rested dog. CC do not let me down only two more to go!
2. Kirks' Caraday Delightful JW
beautifully presented b/w. On the day she stood asking for the class and really pulled out all the stops on the move which was sound with good driving action. Lovely outline, although she looked smaller than my winner and stood next to one another they were both of the same height and balance. Super neck and backline to tail. Little steep in upper arm and not quite the depth of chest, which was some of the consideration to placing. Correct body with lovely spring of rib. Good hindquarters, strong tone, nice bone and feet. Now she has matured should have a bright future
3. Woodbridges' Crackerjanne Coloratura
4. Palmers' Roandew Daisy Dunnit JW
5. Corbetts' Trimere True Sensation

Open Bitch (11, 2 a)
1. Rose' Sh Ch Rosannoch Tiwaz JW
Presents a lovely picture stood, a true Champion having made up since I gave her BPIS a couple of years ago. Has since had a little daughter winning Junior, who I felt on the day was better than mum. Super feminine with correct proportions and outline. I loved her head and expression with kind dark eyes, excellent chiselling and well presented ears. Good strength of neck, well laid into shoulder, topline to tail. Good body depth and well ribbed back. Enough upper arm. Good depth of chest. Straight well boned legs and tight feet. Beautifully presented dark l/w jacket with correct feathering. Really well muscled hindquarters which she put to good use on the day. Very sound
2. Corbetts' Sh Ch Trimere Tuscany
Hiding her 7 years well. Good body condition and tone. Stronger in skull and foreface than my winner but with a kind expression from good eyes, well set ears. Enough neck into shoulders and level topline to tail. Little steep in front angulation. Good depth of chest, body depth and spring of ribs, well back. Well presented and conditioned flashy t/w coat with lovely feathering. On the day moved out well with good stride
3. Robinsons' Baldragon Bollinger
4. Ingleys' Sh Ch Heulyn Giselle
5. Merry's Ancapa Liberty Belle

Veteran Bitch (7, 3a)
1. Williams' Sericum Made In Heaven at Cobhay
Fantastic for her nearly 10 years. Lovely overall condition. Nice body weight. In lovely coat and feathering. Pretty expression from a balanced head, good dentition, clean teeth and ears. Good neck and clean throat. Firm topline and happy tail. Really sound positive mover who pulled out all the stops against her kennel mate, BVIS.
2. Merrys' Anacapa Liberty Belle
Was VHC in a strong Open class. Now 7 years old is in nice condition with a very balanced outline. One of the old school types with a lovely dark jacket with nice feathering. Nice head and expression. Well bodied and in good condition. Is inclined to toe in at front, although she has good drive and throw. Holds her tail low on the move but appears to enjoy her day
3. Grimshaw & Lancasters' Patbee Definitely Devine
4. Grimshaw & Lancasters' Patbee Dizzy Dame

Special Beginners Bitch (1)
1. Chynoweth's Spaggas Angel Eyes
Very attractive l/w/tan with a correct balance being of good height to length. Lovely head and expression, dark eyes. Well bodied and in good condition,, coat with lovely feathering. In her previous class her movement was spoiled by pulling out, crabbing and crossing at foot, making it impossible to assess. Something this nice bitch needs is proper schooling and handling.
