NEW VENUE!
I purchased my first English Springer Spaniel in 1989, with the pure intention of her being a companion. After many conversations with the breeder, I was persuaded to give showing a go. Although I was not very successful with my bitch, I did have success in meeting Maureen and became involved with the Braego Affix.
We now have seven dogs in the KC Stud Book, six of these are English Springer’s of which five are homebred. As well as our English Springer’s, we have a Golden Retriever which was Maureen’s first breed many years ago. Over the past eight years we have also campaigned Irish Water Spaniels and last year purchased our first Dandie Dinmont Terrier.
Over the years I have served on various Committees. Since 1998 serving on the Southern, being Treasurer since 1999. As well as judging English Springer’s, I have judged many Gundog breeds. I feel very honoured to have been asked to judge the Southern Open Show, and I am very much looking forward to the day.
