1st: 7229 MITCHELL, Mr D & BEATON Ms J Barecho Hold Your Horses at Peasblossom (Imp)
first saw him from the ringside as a raw youngster, today he has blossomed into a very accomplished young gent, super head, masculine yet refined, well chiselled with a melting expression, conformation is almost textbook, excels in forehand construction, well ribbed, good depth of brisket, well developed in body, excellent quarters, presented a picture of absolute balance, beautifully proportioned, standing foursquare on great legs & feet, when he moved he did so with great precision & accuracy of footfall, coupled with superb profile movement great drive & lovely forward reach, in super coat & condition, very well handled, in the challenge,'hold your horses' they said, but there was no stopping this one, fell for him hook, line & sinker. My pleasure to award him his first CC & ultimately BOB, if justice is to be done he should enter the upper house with ease

1st: 7176 CONRAD Mrs D Cleavehill Northern Light
super dog who I admired greatly as a puppy, since this time have seen him go through an 'off phase' but here he was definitely on form, masculine, well chiselled head, well put together & presenting a picture of true Springer type, balanced & correct in angulation. good legs & feet, well ribbed with the development of body one would expect in a dog of his age, in super coat & condition, moved at one
with handler, true coming & going, good side profile movement driving well & good forward reach, in the challenge he stepped up a gear. RCC, on this form another who should gain his title

Class 1287 LD (9 Entries) Abs: 2
A difficult class, all five placed appeal in different ways.
1st: 7190 GLENDINNING Ms F Thankerton Pasquini At Plaiglen
a 'good honest Springer' is a term that I feel is sometimes used as get out clause but I can think of no better way to describe him, nothing at all flashy about him but so well made all through & very balanced, a correctly sized dog of substance in a black jacket, move him whichever way & he proves as sound as a bell, covering the ground with precision & style, a task he undertakes with far more relish than he does when asked to stand still, the deciding factor was his super, well balanced head with kind expressions development of body & depth
2nd: 7177 CORBETT Mrs A E Trimere Trademark
eyecatching dog in lovely condition, upstanding young male whose praises I have sung before, demands attention, impressed greatly on the move. A little too broad in skull, would have preferred a kinder expression, looked a little light in loin & needs another year on his back to reach his mature best

1st: 7195 HALES Mr D & Mrs S Sh Ch Trimere Trading Places With Sheledams
dog from the top drawer, have judged him twice previously where I found him to lack a little enthusiasm on the move, what a difference here, have never seen him move as well, masculine head, pleased in expression, welf placed shoulders, excelling in bone
& substance, plenty of depth, well ribbed, strong quarters used to advantage on the move, as always was presented in immaculate condition, very well handled to get every ounce out of him, in profile was equally as good as on the up & back, holding outline all the time, & this gave him the edge in this very strong class
2nd: 7209 JACKSON Mr & Mrs Sh Ch Mompesson Pick Pocket
when he came into the ring, thought he would be my winner, awarded him RCC last time & was looking forward to see how he had matured, still love his head & expression, so well made all through, stiil reminding me greatly of his paternal grandsire, balanced with substance, yet retains a degree of refinement in his outlook, great ribbing & depth, moved very well on the up & down. Couldn't match
1 in outline on the move, tending to fall away a little behind, a pity, still like him

now here goes my head on the chopping block, this bitch had never really appealed to rne as a youngster but today I saw more of the finished article, & rny has she matured well, I hope I will be excused for saying so but I feel she is more reminiscent of the Feortigs of the early 1980s, absolutely balanced, today carrying the right amount of weight, has the most beautiful feminine head, refined with good definition & chiselling, excels in forehand construction, lovely length & return of upper arm, well boned, good feet, great ribbing & depth, well coupled & powerful quarters used to advantage, powered round the ring both here & in the challenge, her precision, reach & drive could not be faulted. First CC, should enter the upper house easily
2nd: 7237 PAYNE Mr K & Mrs N Cepen Country Girl JW
bitch who I admired previously, super well chiselled feminine head, lovely kind eye & expression, super layback of shoulder & good length & return of upper arm, well ribbed with good depth, great quarters, lovely legs & feet, presents a super outline & still appeals greatly, should gain her title, apparently the last time I judged her she was second to the CC winner then too, let's hope she doesn't have to wait too much longer to win her own;
