Veteran Dog/Bitch
1st Muirheads' SH CH MISTILLY'S MAGIC MERLIN TO SHIPDEN ShCM (imp)
7 year old l&w in good hard condition. Not over exaggerated in any quarter. Kind expression with good eye and chiselling. Like to see a tad more of him, especially ribs, however he used his excellent construction well on the move proving to be a worthy, very sound champion.
2nd Rawdings' SH CH BERKENBAR HIGHLANDER FOR DUKEDEL
7 year old b&w, dog I have always liked. A dog that you need to go over to appreciate. Has all the ESSentials. Another who is not overdone, with correct angulation both fore and aft. Just carrying too much over his shoulders to make him competitive with the class winner.
3rd Gibsons' Eastriding Eve of Olympia

Minor Puppy Dog
1st Tattersalls' ALANEA OUTLANDER
6 month l/w/t, needs to grow taller as just not quite in balance yet. Super masculine head with good eye colour and shape. Lovely front assembly, with good ribs and rump. Moderate bend of stifle with good thighs. He beat 2 on head shape and expression.
2nd Kirks' LACEBY DEVIL'S ADVOCATE
7 month b/w, rangier than 1 and not quite as collected. Presented a good outline. Not as deep and just a little steeper in front angulation, however has the bone and scope to develop.

Puppy Dog
1st Calverts' CALVDALE BLAK TO THE FUTURE
11 mont b/w. Gorgeous head and eye, good neck and deep body, well coupled and angulated at rear with low tail set. Super outline, not so good in upper arm and he let himself down on the move being very wide behind. All said and done he has terrific presence, very masculine with super body and balance. He won BPD on maturity and balance.

Junior Dog
1st Ganarins' BERKENBAR SOLO
16 month l/w who is well off for bone and body. Masculine head, could have better eye shape, however has wonderful outline and level topline. Good ribs and front with moderate angulation behind. This is where he beat 2. His movement was close, however one of the better movers in this disappointing class.
2nd Rose' ROSANNOCH EIHWAZ
14 month l/w who had a fuller head, less well shaped that winner. Well off for body and bone, he was just too over-angulated for me.
3rd Lockharts' Chetruda Just Joey

Yearling Dog
1st Palmers' ROANDEW DEZ DIDDIT JW ShCM
l/w/t. A strong upstanding dog. Embonpoint in its true meaning could be used to describe this 23 month youngster, because when you get your hands on this lad you get to appreciate his condtion. He is solid, all spaniel. Super masculine head into strong neck and well sprung ribs. His front assembly is excellent with good bone and feet. His rear has developed thighs with super stifle and rear pastern. He is fit, sound and a lovely shape. When he gets a full jacket he will be a strong contender for top honours. I would loved to have given him more, yet when he was stacked against the open dog winner you could see, forward as he is, he still has a lot of maturing to do. I was pleased to award him the Res CC.
2nd Long & Leemings' TRYHARD BRANDSHATCH
Full marked l/w. Nice head although would prefer more flew. He presented a nice outline with good bone, but poor feet. He just didn't have the scope or class of my winner.

Novice Dog
1st Lockharts' CHETRUDA JUST JOEY
14 monts. Good head, eye shape and colour. Nice outline with excellent front, ribs and rear angulation together with croup. Beat 2 on movement. Although not using a full stride was sounder than 2 who was throwing its nearside rear.
2nd Millers' FEORLIG NATURAL BORN WINNER
Stood close to 1 with a nice shape and good angulation front and rear. Let himself down on the move.
3rd Gregorys' Arcadia Atom Ic

Graduate Dog
1st Davidsons' ELIMVEK EARLY EDITION
l/w 16 month with excellent balance throughout. Good masculine head with reachy neck. Good length of body, but well coupled with excellent ribs and depth. A wee bit over angulated for me, however presented in good hard condition with super thighs and feet. He moved close behind which affected his chance in the challange. A lot to like about this youngster and would expect him to improve ready for top honours.

Post Graduate Dog
1st Davidsons' ELIMVEK EARLY EDITION
2nd Lawlers' ROQFOLLY PINBALL WIZARD
L/w. 2 year old who has good head and eye shape with good width of muzzle. Just didn't have the balance or condition of 1. He has a good shoulder and upper arm. A nice spaniel shape with well sprung ribs, fat bum and well developed thighs. He was wider in front which showed on the move. Again, a bit too much rear angulation, however he beat 3 on maturity.
3. Conrads' Cleavehill Northern Light

Limit Dog
1st Savells' PETRANELLA PERFICK JW
L & W. 3 year old who has matured into a sound and well balanced dog. Lovely head and eye, good strong neck. Good front and ribs. Well coupled with excellent tail set. Not too over angulated, strong thighs and well let down hocks. His solid frame beat 2. Both dogs have sound if not dynamic movement. Pushed hard for top award but lack of dynamism opened the door for others to step in.
2nd Smiths' MELVERLY FIRST GOLD
L & W. Another 3 year old who has matured nicely. Too much shape going on in the head for me. He just didn't have the body of 1 and his rear angulation was also a tad too much. Having said this, I like his type and there is still a lot to admire.
3rd Weymans' Cherimore Royal Connection with Spuffing

Open Dog
1st Chandlers' SH CH CALVDALE CALL OFF THE SEARCH JW
2 year old who again has matured into a striking dog. Wonderful outline and balance. Super masculine head with good eye colour and shape. Nicely arched neck into correct lay of shoulder and good length upper arm. Well off for bone, with good feet. Level top line, well sprung ribs, strongly coupled, great tail set and just the right angulation behind. Coat in good order and unlike me, carrying the correct weight. Was disappointed with his movement as his overall balance and scope should have been reflected in his gait. In the line up he shouted quality, fitness, condition, which is a good job as he certainly didn't win it on his mobility today. CC, BOS, RBIS.
2nd Long & Leemings' TRYHARD DOCTOR DEVIOUS
B&w with stronger head than 1 although carrying the same condition. Just a tad too wide in front but good angulation. Level top line and good rear angulation. Feet not his fortune. Was giving a lot of quality away to the class winner.
3rd Lockharts' Chetruda Gallileo

Special Beginners Dog
1st Baillies' CHERIMORE PRINCE OF THIEVES
l/w/t. All the angles were ok, although short in body and stuffy in outline. Has decent bone, another who didn't put enough into the move. Wide in front. Had good coat.
