Firstly thank you to the officers and committee for giving me the opportunity to judge the breed at this level. I had a fantastic day and thank the exhibitors for their quality entry.

Veteran Dog or Bitch (3,1a)

1st Geddes Country Pursuits at Debanza 9 years L/W bitch, old fashioned type who still looks and moves well for her years. Well proportioned head with melting dark eyes. She has plenty of neck, a good lay of shoulder, nice depth of body and bone. Good rear angulation providing workmanship driving movement.
2nd Lillies Freeway Stormy Waters 8 and half yr L/W dog, masculine head of good proportions, again with super dark eyes. Appeared shorter in neck than my winner, good shoulder angulation, depth and bone. His profile square, good rear angulation and steady mover.

1 Tattersalls' Cresmore Vimeiro at Alanea
17 months L/W. A pleasing masculine head, albeit marked very dark, with complementary dark eyes. Good length of neck, shoulder angulation and depth of chest. More than enough bone and standing on nice tight feet. He has a good length of body, great rounded bottom and plenty of stifle. Plenty of furnishings but could .do to loose some length of feathers off his tail to complement the clean lines presented before. Moved proficiently
2 Willeys' Speeton Sea Challenger
17 months L/W. Mature young man for his age. Masculine head, broad skull and complementary dark eye. Good length of neck, good lay of shoulder, plenty of fore chest and very deep. Longer in body than 1, well off for bone and standing on tight feet. Great rounded bottom with a good tail set, good bend of stifle which gave drive on the move. Presented in good coat, completing a pleasing picture.
3 Glendinnings' Plaiglen Sea of Stars
4 Kemps' Lacby Jack in The Box

1 Tattersalls' Cresmore Vimeiro at Alanea
2 Larges' Mompesson Flawless is Madaza
21 months L/W. Masculine head, a little too wide and flat in skull. Eyes need to darken. Plenty of neck, reasonable angulation in the shoulders and straight front. Ample bone and good length of body. I would have liked a little more bend of stifle and width of thigh but nevertheless a steady mover. Well presented.

1 Smiths' Mistily's Golden Flash Over Melverly (imp)
L/W/T. What a lovely dog to handle, and not what most would think to be my type! Masculine head of good proportions, lovely dark eye for a tri. Strong reachy neck leading to well laid shoulders. Great fore and depth of chest. Lovely round bone and tight feet. Good spring of rib. Good length of body to height ratio, complementary angles front and rear. Great rounded bottom and plenty of bend in stifle. Presented in good coat and condition. On the move he covered the ground with ease, effortlessly, showing plenty of reach in front and driving from the hocks behind without any signs of closeness. Best Dog, and BIS.
2 Happs' Jorobaden Alderniti of Emianna JW
L/W. Smaller in make than 1 but nevertheless can challenge all the way. One I have watched from the ringside with interest. Masculine head, not as reachy in the neck but good lay of shoulders. Ample bone and tight feet. Good depth of chest and height/length ratio. Another with a good rounded bottom, bend of stifle and short hock. Moved well.

1 Jacksons' Mompesson Cavendish
L/W. Another lovely dog to handle and pushed the Post Graduate winner hard for top honours. Masculine head of good proportions, with more defined stop than my previous winners. Complementary dark eyes. Strong neck of good length, leading to well placed shoulders. Chest deep with good spring of rib, short coupled. Plenty of bone and tight feet. Lovely bend of stifle and thickness of thigh. Best mover in the class and a joy to watch on a loose lead at one with his handler. Reserve Best Dog.
2 Eastwoods Plaiglen Memories at Eastfalla
L/W. I judged this dog as a puppy and was not disappointed today as he has matured on nicely, just unfortunate to meet 1. He is a little heavier all round than 1, a good old fashioned type. Masculine head of good proportions with dark eyes. Strong neck of good length, reasonable shoulder angles, good bone and tight feet. Deep body, longer in the couplings. Reasonable turn of stifle but not the thickness of thigh. Moved well.
3 Kirks' Lacebys Devil's Advocate

OD 3
A difficult classes to judge as all 3 dogs deserving a 1st prize, therefore splitting hairs today
1 Traczs' Meadowdale Alabama Slammer at Acregate
L/W. I have watched this young man from the ringside and wasn’t disappointed today, but felt he didn’t give his all when it came to the challenge. Masculine head with melting expression and plenty of neck. Well angulated shoulders, good depth and length of body, plenty of bone and tight feet. Very balanced. Moved well with drive to win the class.
2 Bashforths' Alanea Warrior of Jorobaden
L/W/T. I have judged this exhibit before and wasn’t disappointed today an equally masculine headed dog with strong neck, good shoulder placement, plenty of depth, good bone and tight feet. He is shorter in body length and doesn’t have the turn of stifle of one, but nevertheless a steady mover.

1 Melverly Sophistique
6 months L/W. Stood alone, but wow what a cracker and her first day out. Lovely feminine head with melting expression, long neck, well placed shoulders, great depth, fantastic bone and tight feet. Good spring of rib, short coupled, rounded bottom, good turn of stifle and thickness of thigh. Moved steady once settled. Best puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Show.

PB 1
1 Moores' Cresmore Charlotte Rhodes
11 months L/W. Again unfortunately stood alone which didn’t help her confidence. Feminine head, strong neck, good depth of body, enough bone. Body length appeared long and markings don’t help her, rounded bottom and a fair turn of stifle. Moved erratically because, of lack in confidence.

1 Cunliffes' Calvdale My Girl of Fallenleaf JW
14 months L/W/T. What a lovely young bitch this is, maturing very nicely. Super head of good proportions, I would have liked a darker eye but then I find this takes longer to come in a tri, so don’t despair. Strong neck of good length leading into nicely angled shoulders, plenty of depth, good bone and the best feet of the day. Super spring of rib, short couplings nice rounded bottom, enough stifle which is where my preference favoured in the challenge. Moved well, with drive. Well presented. Reserve Best Bitch.
2 Glendinnings' Plaiglen Pandora
Another lovely bitch, unfortunate to meet one on her debut as she was a little in awe of the surroundings, but nevertheless can put up a fair challenge. A little heavier, in head than one, but still nicely proportioned. Strong neck nicely placed shoulders, good fore and depth of chest, balanced body, rounded bottom, good turn of stifle and tight feet. Moved ok but with time and patience I am sure she will come into her own.
3 Moores' Cresmore Charlotte Rhodes
4 Kirks' Laceby Rag Doll

YB 2
1 Jacksons Mompesson Elegance
21 months L/W. A super shape throughout, starting with a lovely proportioned head, kind expression and dark eye. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Great fore and depth of chest. Good spring of ribs, short coupled, well developed rump. Great bend of stifle and thickness of thigh, which just gave her the edge in the challenge. Lovely round bone and tight feet. Moved very well with drive. Well presented. Best Bitch and Reserve Best in Show.
2 Glendinnings' Plaiglen Pandora

1 Rostrons' Ziphill Memphis Girl
Stood alone. Pretty feminine head, plenty of neck, well shaped shoulders, good depth of chest, well off for bone. Good length of body, well muscled, moved ok but giving her handler a hard time.L/W.

PGB 7 (4)
1 Glendinnings' Roqfolly Elle's Belle
L/W. Feminine head of good proportions, lovely dark eye and kind expression. Good length of neck, well placed shoulders and good depth. Body shape well balanced, plenty of bone and tight feet. Pleasing bend of stifle and thickness of thigh. Turned out in good condition, moved ok.
2 Jaggers' Jaraina Jelai
Tough decision between these two bitches which boiled down to movement in the end. This bitch moved more erratically than the first. Otherwise very similar – nicely balanced feminine head, good length of neck, well placed shoulders and plenty of depth in body. Good bone and tight feet. Nice angulation at the rear.
3 Moores' Laceby Devil's dilemma at Cresmore

LB 3
1 Jacksons' Mompesson Celebrity
L/W. I have watched this bitch from the ringside and was pleased to see her here. A well balanced bitch through and through and turned out in good condition. A lovely balanced head with dark eye giving a kind expression. Strong neck of good length, well placed shoulders, great depth of chest, good round bone and tight feet. Good length of body, short coupled, strong rear, plenty of turn in stifle which showed good drive on the move. She was in my top three of today but just felt the younger ones had the edge.
2 Gregorys' Arcadia Andalucia
A different style of head to 1, but still very feminine and balanced with dark eye and kind expression. Plenty of neck into well placed shoulders, good fore and depth of chest. Good spring of rib, shorter coupled than 1 and not the strength in the rear. Plenty of bone and tight feet. Carrying some extra weight today but moved ok.
3 Kirks' Laceby Devil's Delight of Togipoto

OB 4 (1)
Although only three exhibits in this class by far the hardest to judge today, as all three in different respects deserving of a red card so really splitting hairs here:
1 Thornhills' Ketsby Kerfuffle at Inthor
L/W. I have always admired this bitch, although I really wanted to take her home to trim, as her top coat wasn’t turned out to the best today. Lovely proportioned head with the darkest of eyes. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders, great fore and depth of chest, good bone and tight feet. Good spring of rib short couplings, strong rear with good turn of stifle and thickness of thigh. Very mature and moved well with drive.
2 Bashforths' Alanea Charade of Jorobaden
L/W. A finer bitch all through but still very balanced. A very feminine head with dark eye and kind expression. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Great fore and depth of chest, plenty of bone and tight feet. Good spring of rib, shorter coupled than 1. Strong rear, good turn of stifle. Let herself down on the move because she was going too fast. Presented in good coat and condition.
