The Southern English Springer Spaniel Society promotes responsible breeding practices. All prospective puppy buyers should familarise themselves with the health issues and tests we have available to us. We draw your attention to the guidelines stipulated for our members, specifically those relating to the testing of breeding stock and in particular:-
All members are strongly recommended to undertake to have breeding stock tested for any hereditary disease in the the ESS (as listed by the BVA) where such testing exists.
Owners of stud dogs should consider carefully whether to allow their dog to be used on bitches untested for hereditary disease.
Owners of bitches seeking a stud dog should satisfy themselves that the dog is suitable in terms of temperament and hereditary conditions and diseases.
Health certificates for tests carried out on sire and dam of any litter advertised on this site will be checked prior to details being made available.
(Please note: Where no tests results can be found, the test results will be recorded as - Unknown and puppy buyers are advised to discuss this with the breeder.)

Please note that many breeders have waiting lists for their puppies and do not always need to avail themselves of our advertising facility. Utilise the 'Members Links' section on the website and contact breeders directly to see if they would be willing to put you on their waiting list.

Note for Breeders: There will be a charge of £10.00 to advertise each litter, payable
in advance to Maureen Read. The proceeds provide for the upkeep of this website, expenses and ESS Welfare. Please contact Maureen for more details.
All litters that are advertised on this site will be removed after three months from the date of posting, unless you advise us otherwise.
