I enjoyed judging this breed, there were dogs standing who I thought would take the class but lacked confidence on the move, which is disappointing. I was concerned that a large number of the ‘active’ breed really did not have quality of muscle. Surely we have dogs to e4njoy using them energetically? If not, why not get a cat?

9 years is sound, honest & free moving, outline and size depict the breed, has a masculine, balanced heard with kindly expression. Carries his years well, a credit to his owner.

This boy was the complete package, full of exuberance, his head appealed with good width of skull, correct earset, eyes of colour & set to depict gentle but bright expression, clean cheeks, clean strong arched neck into well put together shoulder placement giving reach and positive front action, well ribbs with good coupling, good bum & quarters which he can use BP
2nd: 7514 CALVERT Mr & Mrs M Calvdale Known Asociate
Beautifully proportioned head good stop, strength in foreface arched clean neck flowing through well laid shoulder & return of upper arm looked forward to him moving but he just did not have any attitude, when he gains his confidence he can go all the way.

head I expect from this kennel name, correct width with clean cheeks, good stop & eye placement which gives that typical expression, has arched neck fitting into well angulated forehand with return of upper arm which allows forward reach, firm topline, short strong loin, has width & strength in quarters, goes with easy open gait
2nd: 7579 WALKER Mr S P & Mrs W M Petranella Perfickly Frank With Dexbenella
Marginally rangier at present but dogs grow at different stages at this sort of age. Has lots of appeal in each department with the advantage of great personality & super condition & coat, exacting movement.

This kennel is certainly on form right now, very smart young man, classic in size outline & striking performance on the side gait. This is topped by fabulous muscle definition, presentation and bloom to the coat.
2nd: 7557 MAY Mrs J Charlie Brown Hot Chocolate
Tidy in size and satisfyingly well muscled, he had settled to he job in this class & put up a better performance. Just a little strong in skull and could be cleaner in cheeks.

Perhaps not the bloom of 2 but easily won this class on movement coming from his very sound construction. He is just right for weight & has a decent coat. A good ESS very honest and unexaggerated.
2nd: 7515 CALVERT Mr & Mrs M Calvdale Point Of Law Sh.CM
Very good quality as I would expect from this kennel & beautiful presentation with full coat. Just not the action of 1.

Decent class each had attributes that gave satisfaction but this dog had them all for me. He was in gleaming full coat & fabulous muscle tone throughout he presented a balanced picture & worked the ring with a confident yet biddable air, has a beautiful head, clean skull, nothing overdone, just a lovely dog. CC
2nd: 7522 DAVIES Mrs B Mompesson Knockando at Sundeala
Pleased me greatly, I feel he will be hard to get past when he gets his full coat, he has that classic Mompesson head which is clean, shapely and not overdone. He has to be gone over to be appreciated. Fit and hard condition, very typical sound action & confident outgoing personality.

Object lesson in presentation & another who scored in condition, has quality bone decent forehand with depth & spring of rib leading to short strong loin, working with clever handler to advantage RCC.

That head I like again here, in this dog, very typy throughout. Carrying weight over his shoulders which makes him loose his outline and makes him look stuffy on the move particularly.

Well this lady is going to have a fun time with this youngster & her brother. Just so full of herself and that’s how I like it especially youngsters, they have a long career ahead. Feminine, oozing quality, gorgeous head. Quite frankly I could have thrown the BP rosette in the air and see where it landed, in the end the handler went on the boy so he was more composed, the clinching factor.

What can I say? Standing loved her for size bone, construction & classic head but handed easily to 1st on the move, frustrating.

Stood out, just a lovely ESS, found that to go over she was made as I expected on first appraisal, has femininity but strength, beautiful head with correct skull, has plenty of work in her head without being overdone, clean arched neck, lay of shoulder and complementary return of upper arm reflects her angles in hindquarters, giving positive typical gait with attitude and style, gleaming coat RCC

When an animal is this balanced and typy they move with such ease and extension and hat’s just what she did but she has the attitude to take her game up a gear which is why she is producing the results. Her totally typical outline is evident at all times. I easily joined a growing club of fans CC,BOB & G3
2nd: 7552 JACKSON Mr & Mrs R Mompesson Rich Pickings
This is a frustrating bitch as she satisfies the interpretation of the standard of the ESS so well but then lacks belief in herself to carry it off on the move.
