'I really appreciated this good entry and would like to thank the exhibitors for the sporting way in which they took my decisions. It was quite refreshing and a challenge as almost all the dogs here today were completely new to me. On the whole, I thought the quality was good, with the bitches being stronger in my opinion than the dogs. Whilst I thought type was good in general, I did have one or two quite cockery looking exhibits, also a number with light and round eyes which detracts from that true expression and as always I was mindful of the need to have relatively good length of foreleg. Presentation was excellent and temperament just as you would expect. I was most disappointed with some of the movement, some weak hock joints, very close rear pasterns, almost rubbing in some cases and some very erratic front movement, then coupled with lack of enthusiasm, this did not bode well.'

DOG RESULTS

MIN PUPPY - Dog Entries: 5 Absentees: 2
1st TRIMERE TALKING POINT OF ALLENIE (MR A C & MR R P ALLEN & BOTT)
Loved this young dog, sriking colour, has everything, whilst still a very raw baby, pleasing overall shape, super head with correct plains, nice skull shape, excellent reach of neck and good shoulders, level topline, good angle to croup, pleasing hind angulation, well presented. Moved in a very positive way, still a little puppyish as might be expected. BP, I see sired by my CC winner.
2nd KETSBY KANASTA (MR P & MRS A PIDCOCK)
Heavier type than winner but another promising puppy Plenty of work in skull, square muzzle, good eye shape, best of bone and feet, not quite as tight in elbow as the winner or with quite the strength at this time in the hock joint.
3rd BENIRA DANCE WITH ME (MRS G H ROSE)

1st CARNMARTH COUNTRI WHISPERS AT HANKNIGHT (MR G & MRS L HANCOCK)
Liked the size and shape of this youngster, very nice expression on a balanced head, moderate length of neck, level topline, which I think could be a little straighter, croup also a little on the level, good width of second thigh, short hocks, moves accurately fore and aft, did not look quite in sync in profile movement.

JUNIOR - Dog Entries: 4 Absentees: 0
1st TIVERSTONE PRARIE SPY AT COVINA (MRS E GLASS)
Medium sized dog, very nicely balanced. Good head shape, pleasing work in skull, square muzzle, moderate length of neck, level topline, strong hindquarters with correct angulation. Good mover.
2nd ALANEA OUTLANDER (MRS A TATTERSALL)
Typy young male, liked his head, has better reach of neck than winner, a short strong back, short loin, looks a little too square in proportions, has good hind quarters, hocks well let down, in good jacket. Moved well with drive, front a little bit erratic compared to winner.
3rd GRAFTONBURY PHOENIX (MISS J & MR G FENNELL & MILLER)
Res SPAGGAS NICE TRI (MR T & MRS H CHYNOWETH)

POST GRAD - DogEntries: 14 Absentees: 1
My first three dogs were excellent for type and were sound movers in a rather disappointing class for movement.
1st TRIMERE TRADEMARK (MRS A CORBETT)
Beautiful type, one which I considered seriously for top honours. Balanced head, moderate stop, lovely work in skull, best of neck and shoulders, pleasing spring of rib, strong loin, can be stood with a litle bit of a sloping topline at hindquarters extended a little far back and yet next time you look he has a level topline. Moves well and covers the ground with ease.
2nd MOMPESSON NEWS FLASH (MR & MRS JACKSON)
Strong, upstanding male, always thought he would be there or thereabouts, just preferred head of winner today. Good reach of neck, strong back, well ribbed up, short loin, correct hind angulation, bone good, feet could be a tad better. when he eventually stopped messing about he gave a good account on the move, strong and positive.
3rd MOMPESSON KNOCKANDO AT SUNDEALA (MRS B E DAVIES)
Res FEORLIG KINDRED SPIRIT AT MUJASCAL (MISS J A SUCH)

1st REULEMILL THOMAS MCNOITY JW ShCM (MISS J ADDOO)
Medium sized dog with lots to like, easily the best mover in the class and one of the better ones all day, good reach and drive, held his topline well on the move - delivers all the time in this area,. Nicely balanced head, good ear set, well shaped neck, level topline, good tail set, forelegs straight but I would like just a tad more length of leg, nice tight feet, shown in good coat of correct texture.
2nd BEECRAIGS BEDEVILLED AT SUMMERSTONE JW (MR T J BEATON)
Very nice type, shorter and squarer in outline, with very good head shape and nicely finished muzzle. Correct eye shape, good expression, good shoulders, plenty of bone in foreleg, good spring of rib, short loin, let down a little on the move, just could not compete with thie winner.
3rd CONNAGHYN EXPLODE ON IMPACT (MISS C QUIRK)
Res ANACAPA SOLO FLYER SHCM (MRS H MERRY)
VHC CHERIMORE ROYAL CONNECTION WITH SPUFFING (MRS J WEYMAN)

1st SH CH MOMPESSON ROYAL DESTINY (MR & MRS JACKSON)
Loved this dog's overall balance, type and maturity. Shown in good concition, covers the ground well, impressive reach and drive. Dog CC.
2nd SH CH ROANDEW DEZ DIDDIT JW ShCM (MR J C PALMER)
Superb young male, thought he would be my winner in this class, lovely outline, oozes breed type, lovely finish in head, super expression, good neck and shoulders correct topline, croup, tailset, good hind angulation. Moved with drive, not the strength of front movement as the winner. The more he moved, the strength just seemed to drain away. RDCC.
