Year Book 2026

All fully paid up 2026 members will receive a free copy.

Non-Members can purchase a 2026 Year Book at a cost of £20.

Advertising in the SESSS Year Book is available to all in the UK or Overseas.

You can be a novice or experienced show exhibitor, breeder, or have an

English Springer Spaniel as part of your family.

ALL who are interested in our lovely breed are welcome to contribute.

We accept adverts from members and non-members.

Our 2026 Year Book will be published and ready for collection at Crufts on Thursday 4th March 2027

Fully Paid Up Members as at 30th September 2026 will get a one page advert FREE OF CHARGE.

The next 3 pages are £30 per page. There is a maximum of 4 pages in total.

Stud Dog Register entries are free to members who have placed an advert.

Stud Dog Register (Members only)

Please send a copy of your dog’s 3-generation pedigree and provide his date of birth and colour.

The Stud Dog Register aims to provide information on stud dogs and contact details for planned matings. This does not imply recommendation by the Society and the owners of breeding bitches should verify this information at the time of any enquiry. The Society also expects the owners of both stud dogs and breeding bitches to follow Ethical Breeding Guidelines (published in the Year Book and on the ESS Health website) with regard to health testing, temperament and suitability for breeding. Please complete the form overleaf and sign to confirm health test declarations. Please do not send copies of the test result certificates.

Awards and Results 2026

This section is for members’ dogs top achievements in 2026. We include details of all the following:

New Show Champions, Junior and Veteran Warrants, Show Certificates of Merit/Excellence, OSW, SGW and WG Certificates, Championship/Open Show BIS, RBIS, BPIS, RBPIS, Group and Puppy Group wins and placings, Championship Show Stakes Class wins.

Hall Of Fame 2026

We give a free page, including a black & white photograph, for all members’ departed UK Show Champions. If you have lost a UK Show Champion in 2026 and would like to have him or her included please let us know.

Dearly Departed 2026

This section is free for all our members’ other Dearly Departed dogs in 2026. Please include your dog’s pet name and their RKC registered name, their dates of birth and death, plus a short tribute. You can also include a black & white photo (we can convert a colour photo).

How to send your Articles, Photos, Images and Adverts

All the information in these sections is supplied by the owners of the dogs. Please send your articles in Microsoft Word via email or a USB memory stick (clearly marked with your name for return).

Photos and Images

Any accompanying photos/images can be supplied in either digital or printed form. If you are sending a print, the best reproduction is from gloss paper, not silk or matt. If supplying a digital image, this should be a high-definition jpeg file (at least 300 dpi and/or at least 512 Kb in size). Digital images can be either emailed or supplied on a USB memory stick which will be returned. ALL photos submitted for the SESSS Year Book should have a photographer’s credit (including those taken by friends and family) and permission to use the photo obtained prior to publication.

Please do not supply photos directly from Facebook or other online platforms, as the quality is too poor for Year Book publication.

Adverts

Please supply the copy of your advert in Microsoft Word via email or USB memory stick (clearly marked with your name for return). Clearly indicate the approximate layout required. Do not cut or mark photos, but please describe whether the photos are to be cropped, e.g. to exclude handler. One photo per page is preferable, if you include more than one photo please avoid using too much text. The Year Book page size is A5, the measurements being14.8cm by 21cm, which includes all the margins.

Please do not provide ready-set adverts without consulting with us first. This is because the Year Book is produced using specialised software and there are specific external print house requirements regarding margins and bleed areas.
